Okay, quick confession here, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Darkness/Time/Sky are my favorite pokemon games overall regardless of the fact that they aren't in the main series.
I just sank so much time into these games as well as Blue, restarting multiple times on Darkness and breaking my heart every time because I missed my partner.
These games were an integral part of me growing up honestly, the ending of the main story in Blue was the first time I cried playing a game, and I had so much fun with the main game as well as Darkness, which also made me cry twice.
I remember all of it fondly now of course and am sad I haven't had a chance to play Gates to Infinity.
So, how about all of you, how were your experiences with these games? Were they like mine or something completely different?

i love pokemon mystery dungeon! i think the saddest thing about the original games was that after you completed the storyline, your partner seemed to forget everything about your bond and would revert to the typical dialogue of their species.
time/darkness i enjoyed a lot more, even though i've never played sky. i thought the plot was pretty dark compared to mainstream pokemon games when it first came out, and later on might have rivaled the plot of pokemon black and white in terms of moral ambiguity and being depressing in general.

Sky was great, but you didn't miss anything really, there were a few cool features added, but nothing that really changes anything big

You could be my luck! Even if the sky is falling down, I know that we'll be safe and sound!

[breathes heavily all over this thread] Mystery Dungeon.
They're my favorite games! It's been a while since I've played any of them, but I remember spending so much time playing and falling in love with them, especially Blue. I am so intensely nostalgic about Blue. And the Gengar and Gardevoir subplot is everything. It made me cry a lot as a little kiddo.
I really want the new 3DS one but I have to save up first. ;v; In the meantime I've been meaning to restart Blue and finish the postgame stuff on Darkness.
