Hi, I moved this thread as it's more suited to this area. "General" is for Pokemon related topics that don't really fit anywhere else.

i've been wanting to reply to this but i'm unsure if my generalized anxiety disorder grants me as neuroatypical? in any case, hello!

nullificationsi do believe gad would fall under neuroatypical, from what i've observed around tumblr. personally i have major depression, high anxiety (both officially diagnosed), and mum thinks i may have borderline personality disorder which will be checked at a trip to the psych office. i also have scoliosis to a severe enough degree that i will have to have surgery at some point when possible and i can be considered disabled by the government. i can't have a job that requires any long term standing, walking, lifting, or basically anything physical.

I have severe anxiety, am mildly attention deficit & extremely obsessive compulsive w/ neurotic tendencies (w/ documentation) and have like the mildest form of depression which is sort of null due to surrounding myself with animals as a form of therapy rather than medications. I took meds for a while but stopped after learning coping methods for my neuroticism and going nto therapy for a while. Also cats.
As far as physical ailments I have carpal tunnel in my right wrist (which sucks because I am right hand dominate) and arthritis in my right knee. And I need/have glasses? Also I'm really sensitive as far as my other senses go and I am like seriously nocturnal (I wish I was joking) because I have abnormally strong rod cells in my eyes and I literally have to wear sunglasses all the time when it's super bright out because all the light physically hurts my eyes and gives me a headache.
I've pretty much come to terms with my labels so talking about them really doesn't phase me any more.

i've had problems with anxiety and depression for a long time. originally my doctor diagnosed me with OCD, but later on i was rediagnosed with hypochondria. i do still have some compulsive behaviors -- i wash my hands constantly, sometimes for no discernible reason, and they're pretty dry as a result, haha. i was placed in a psychiatric hospital for a little over a week two summers ago because my health anxiety was so overwhelming i had difficulty functioning. fun!! it is a lot more bearable now, though. i don't know if i could consider myself fully "recovered", but i can manage it pretty well. :^)
